can you please read the 1st chapter of my science fiction story?
I am sitting in a small room. As I look nearly the room the implication of what room I am sitting in hits me. I am sitting in the Vulture, one of the 1st ever aircraft that can go quicker-than-light. The room itself is holding 5 people me and 4 other men. None of the other ones are tiresome to make conversation so I converse in. “Hey are you excited about this trip,” I remark. “Yeah, 10 years ago I wouldn’t have even thought this would be possible,” a man said. I looked at him, he had blonde hair, was about 6 feet tall and he was very substantial. “I’m Garder,” I said holding my hand out to him. “Nice name, my name is Daniel,” he said while he shook my hand. The conversation then seemed to slip into silence.
Several times I thought about tiresome to continue the conversation but I chose not to. I then heard the loudspeaker say, “blastoff will commence in 30 minutes.” “This will be the longest 30 minutes of my life,” Daniel remarks. “Yeah, these 30 minutes will seem like hours,” I answer. Again a awkward silence commences. I bet you, the reader, want to know how I got here and why I am here. Well it all started 5 years ago when I was in Seattle, listening to the president’s speech.
The president was speaking in a large area surrounded by rows of seats. I was about 5 rows far from the podium. I was sitting by my best supporter Oliver. While the president was speaking about economics me and Oliver were bored. We didn’t really care about the talk itself, we just thought it would be cool to listen to the presidents speech. Oliver nudged me and said,” ugh I wish we would’ve got the same talk as Dallas did.” “What was that?” I questioned. “ They got a talk on there newest type of nuke,” he said. “Yeah, if we only lived in Dallas,” I responded. Oliver then remarked he needed to go to the restroom, nearly as soon as he left I noticed a pungent smell. I tried to ignore it but, in the end, I noticed it was coming from a man. He was in a black tuxedo and his hair was very neatly combed. When people started to look at him he just walked to another part of the stands. My curiosity overwhelmed me and I started to follow him. He stopped a while back in one of the back seats.
I then noticed that he stooped down and pulled a bag out of his shoe. The pungent smell appeared to come from the bag. He held the bag very forceful and he started to walk closer to the podium. I again followed him. He stopped when he was pretty close to the podium and then pulled a blaster out of his bag. Before I could reckon of anything else I dived across the space between me and the guy. The force of my body threw the assassin to the impose a curfew and the weapon flew 3 feet to his right.
Whatever happened next was kind of hazy. As soon as I knocked the man to the impose a curfew several men in much of the same clothing as the man ran up and place the man in handcuffs. Right as I started getting up I noticed that the men that grabbed the guy had the words “FBI” on there backs, and that a few seconds ago they were by the president. Then the president got in the stands, stood by me and said, “well everyone, I am very sad to say that you have just been witness to a assassination attempt. But luckily this young man saved me by knocking down the assassin. What’s your name young man?” “My name is Garder,” I responded. “Garder is a fine name,” the president responded. “well how did you find the assassin?” The president questioned.
“Well the bag the guy was holding had a weird smell coming from it,” I answered. “I was curious what the smell was so I followed him.” “Well, you must be proud of yourself Garder, how did you choose to knock the man down?” The president questioned. “Well I saw the man had a firearm in his hand and he was pointing it toward you. So I chose that he was tiresome to shoot you and I dived over and knocked him down,” I answered. “Your reflexes were very impressive,” he then handed me a piece of paper and says, “here is my phone number, if you ever need anything call me.”
The rest of that day was filled with interviews and fame. I later found out that the pungent smell had made the blaster invisible to all of the sensors In the next few years I got to participate in many special events. One of them was watching the 1st ever quicker-than-light spacecraft blast off. Another one was looking through a high powered telescope at some planets that were supposed to be able to support life. And the most recent one (and probably the most valuable) was a year ago when I was invited to a meeting. At the meeting some of the most valuable people were there. The meeting was to discuss some of the latest findings in one of the nearby galaxies dubbed “Ascodonilca”. They have found 2 planets that are EXTREMELY possible for life. They then chose to make a expedition to the 2 planets. They also choose to build a oversize ship made to hold half-a-million, they will also handpick people to go on the expedition. That is part of it… delight rate.
